09 Sep Sen. John DiSanto, brother pay delinquent $14K property tax bill
A Lebanon County property that Sen. John DiSanto and his brother Mark own will not be posted for sale at the county tax claim bureau’s upset tax sale that begins later today.
The brothers, who hold senior leadership positions at the Lower Paxton Township-based real estate development firm Triple Crown Corp., paid the $14,091.88 delinquent tax bill on Wednesday. The bill is for a property that sits on the east side of Schoolhouse Road in South Londonderry Township, according to the Lebanon County Tax Claim Bureau.
The bill was for unpaid school, county and/or municipal property taxes from 2017. The senator’s Chief of Staff Chuck Erdman told PennLive last month after the upset tax sale list was posted that the unpaid tax bill was “a business matter that was overlooked” and that the bill would be paid.
By paying the delinquent bill before noon today, the DiSantos avoided having the property sold at tax sale.
An attempt to reach DiSanto for comment through his Senate office Monday morning was unsuccessful.
